  • Stormy Sunset over Bamburgh Bay

    Taken November 2015

Some say there should be more space to the right of the castle, but the ground there was flat and featureless so I reckoned it would detract from the overall drama, in addition I would have lost some of the Farne Islands on the horizon. What do folks think?

I understand what you are saying.

But the composition works well for me.

    A very good, atmospheric shot.

Great image - Bamburgh Castle is central to Bernard Cornwall's books now called The Last Kingdom which can be seen on TV. Danes v Saxons plus a few Irish and Scots thrown in for good measure.
