I like this a lot - the focus is on the youngster so the lack of faces from any of the adults works powerfully. I also like the use of black and white and there is a nice tonality about it all. Very nice!

As Ian and Horacio say, this works very well. I also think b+w helps dramatise the situation, almost like an image from the past.
