  • Question on ND filter

    Hi guys,
Haven't been on here for a while ... (tell the winters back !!).
I've splashed (ha ha) out on a B+W 110 filter (1000x), and was wondering if anyone else had one, and how did they use it ?
With it beeing sooooo dark, the exposure times are in the 15-20 minute+ bracket, but not sure on what other settings to use ?
I've tried a couple at home .... 15 minutes at around f22, came out fairly good. Clear enough, and not blown anywhere.
What I was thinking of, was going down to the town ... high street, and take one up the main street (we have a lot of old buildings),
that way the people would be 'dissolved' by the length of time, and it would look deserted .... well that's my theory ! .... has anyone tried this ?

      Re: Question on ND filter

Hi Jay, I didn't know what a B+W 110 filter was for so I had a root around. Interesting bit of kit eh? Came across this site which looked informative.

Thanks guys, some fascinating sites there, and some great ideas on the Flickr site, with some great shots of the waterfront.

Think I'll be out down the coast at the weekend .... watch this space
