  • A Hot Issue here - Britains Got Talent

I'm not familiar with this but this has been a hot topic even on Japanese TV programs. I heard about it late last night at a Chinese restaurant nearby. She was watching at this on you tube. I'm sure you all know about it already before it reaches us. ... But anyway simply enjoy. It makes you happy - surely a piece of happy news.

The link does not seem to work, although it worked while previewing. Just search for Susan Boyle on you tube. There are many of them. yoshi

hopefully this works, for your convenience. you need to delete the asterisk marks in the 1st and 3rd letters.

Indeed it does Yoshi. I have to admit to watching the program when it was on TV and it brings a tear to my eye everytime I see the clip. But then I'm a soft old thing. I'm also interested to hear the reaction from Japan

The clip was shown on Australian News recently & everyone is talking about it! What an incredibly fantastic voice! I'm just so pleased she wiped the smirks off peoples faces in the audience etc! Prime example of an age old addage...never judge a book.....

I also saw it live and was just as shocked as everyone else when she started singing. The look on the judges faces was priceless. Never really been a fan of the show and was only watching it while I was waiting for something else to come on but will watch it from now on.

Sorry for the delay. I immediately looked into it yesterday and found so many comments. - several hundreds I would say.

              here are some of them;

              - Her singing impressed me so much - the best among all the songs I listened to on you tube.

              - Happy to be able to hear her voice.

              - What a nice creature a song is!

              - I repeated the clip 100 times already.

              - Those who have talents should be given good opportunities to reveal themselves in the front stage and to make better use of the potential/hidden talents.

              - I was just moved to tears with emotion.

              - The fact that the TV program discovered this person with due talent - that's very amazing.

              - Why don't we have similar TV programs here? (my remarks: iirc, we had.)

              *****************

              - Why did the judges show rude attitudes to the lady at the beginning. That is not natural --- I presume that there was a pre-selection and rehearsal before the broadcasting. So those people on the making side of the program must have known by that time that she was really a person of big talents. ( therefore maybe a sort of intended performance by them).

              - The above comment was counter argued by another who says the pre-selection on the program is done on paper only (so those responses at the beginning was genuine.)

              *****************

              - some say there must have been a pre-written scenario. But those are the people who cannot simply show emotion (or being impressed by that) even though they watch it. Poor guys.

              - A good example that a person should not be judged by mere looking / appearances.

              *****************

Reading those comments is also another fun, I realised.
