Mike Forum newbie Registered: August 2007 Posts: 18	Gennine - a model with dark auburn hair (in colour) ! Taken in a studio with Canon 350D converted to infrared. Settings 1/250@f16 ISO 100, lens 25-135mm @132mm. The sensor alters all the colours into very soft monotone greys. The hair has been lightened further & softened. The eyes needed some work as the pupils tend to go very dark under IR. A vignette has been added. This image is not 'up to date' for portraits these days. It has been entered into a number of external competitions across the Midlands, gaining only 1 acceptance. A panel of 4 of Gennine was highly commended. I like it and that's what counts.

I like the softness, which accentuates the femininity. Very appealing sort of image which is almost like a soft pencil drawing. Lovely curves and shading in and around her hairline. The technicalities are a tad beyond me - but I can certainly appreciate the picture. I love it!

This is beautiful. Hair, eyes and lips really stand out and give an effect of realism.

If I had to pick at this it would be to mention the highlight on the nose and the right cheek. (right as per viewing)

I tried for a similar effect using my wife and baby grandaughter but came nowhere near this good.
