As part of making dolls, the artist must clothe the doll. In the case of older dolls, oftimes the clothing is missing or damaged. The Dollmaker envisions appropriate mode of dress, creates patterns, and constructs doll fashions to fit the doll, its type, its era, and in line with the original clothing of similar dolls. In some cases, it is important that the clothing exactly match a particular standard for a given doll.
