On the left is a picture taken almost 80 years ago of my mother, when she was probably about 4 years old (1929-ish) in her home town of Hilongos on the coast of rural Leyte, Philippines. The print was in quite a bad state so I am pleased about the clean-up job I did. I only discovered this picture just before my mother's 80th birthday, so it was a nice surprise for her during her 80th celebrations. I've entered this in the DPNow Salon contest this month, which has the theme of 'Timeless'.
