These blinds are in our kitchen at home. I was looking around for a suitable subject for today's photo and the meandering cord in the blinds (which are almost always stowed 'up' and so the slats are tightly bound together). Although this was taken at 3PM, it was very dark and overcast outside and I didn't want to use flash, so I used some steps to get level with the blinds and redirected one of the kitchen spots to illuminate the section of the blinds. The halogen spot light is of course a warm, and the contrast with the cold light through the window at the bottom from outside was a bonus. This is the entire frame and little post processing was required.

Very interesting, very unusual and memorable image that could be studied and contemplated for quite a while. I love the meandering cord against the slats. I also especially like the contrast between warm and cold - inside and outside. Great stuff. Inspiring!
