Yet another successful submission for Horacio. This highly acclaimed image was first shown in the FTU Galleries where it received more than one 10 rating http://fourthirds-user.com/galleries...php/photo/1512 John Perriment summed up nicely what he felt was so good about the image and we have to agree. Its really all about a beautifully observed scene where the ripples in the sand are enhanced by strong side lighting to create shadows, which are countered by the grass at the top of the dune and then again by the patterns in the sky.
Horacio comments on his picture "This picture was taken with an E500 and the 14-45 lens, in colour raw format, and then post processed in Photoshop C3, not very intensely. I used (as nearly always) a circular polarized filter during the shooting. I made several versions until I was happy with this kind of contrast. Location: Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, our main Atlantic summer beach in Argentina. I am a medical doctor and I spend a lot of time doing photography, as a hobby?. I like B&W and colour photography, and used to take mainly landscapes an abstract pictures of the surrounding daily urban world. I use Olympus C8080, Oly E500 and E510 and several Oly zoom lenses. (from 9 to 250mm)".
