Winter snow at the cemetary at Taos Pueblo. In the background are the ruins of the church originally built in 1619. It was destroyed during the Pueblo Revolt of 1680 that briefly drove the Spaniards out of New Mexico. The church was almost immediately rebuilt. The church was again destroyed in 1847 during the war between Mexico and the United States.

The cemetery was in active use until August 2006.
