I have processed this without using hdr. I have converted the RAW image to jpeg then adjusted the shadow/highlights in ps and then finished it off in psp. Its not a bad conversion I suppose, but to me I still prefer the impact achieved by the hdr version. This one is a little flatter to me. Perhaps the hdr one just needs toned down a bit!
