My working life was in the post office I joined in 1957 and retired in 1993. I spent 23 years on travelling post office trains sorting mail all night work I started as postman in the west end of London Wimple street W1. and transfered to mount pleasant in the city.I was in the R.A.F. from 1952 to 1957 and spent some time in Germany R.A.F. Celle I was attached to a hospital and drove Ambulances there were 48 aircraft stationed there Vampires. Gloster meteors. and Venoms. |
