UNSOLVED Epson R2880 stopping settings from returning to default

I have an Epson R2880 and I use it to print from various applications. If I print from Word I want to use a plain paper setting and medium quality etc. I have created a prest for this and saved it. From Word I go to the printer preferences and choose this preset and print a document. If I then print another document or even another copy of the same document, the printer reverts to a default setting for Epson Premium Glossy paper. Surely I should not have to go and set the preferences everytime I print a page? Anyone help with where I am going wrong?

I'd be surprised if in the print dialogue there was not a way to save any particular settings, therefore enabling you quickly to select the one for the job.

Yes you can save the setting as a pre-set but my quibble is that this only remains in force for the duration of one print job. When you got to print again - even in the same session with the same document - it has defaulted to default settings.
