Used the Flipbac mirror anyone?

Has anyone had any success using the Flipbac mirror for street photography or people shots. I have a canon 50D and s90. Curious for anyone's comments or tried it on these cameras. Does it fit? web site:flipbac.com

Thanks in advance
Ralph

I use it on a Canon G9.
It would work on a 50D no problem. However, for me it didn't work as well as the tilt & swivel screen on the early G series cameras, but then it never really says it will. It is useful for certain situations when you may find it hard to get your eye in line with the screen or to the viewfinder.

It takes a little getting used to and you must be aware that the image on the mirror is inverted. In the case of street photography I imagine you would be looking down into the mirror, and the resulting image would be upside down.

You must be careful when sticking it onto your screen, as the adhesive strips are very strong and once they touch its hard to reposition them. You need to get it right first time.

The other advantage of them is that they act as a screen protector.
For what they cost though its worth giving it a go

Thanks for your reply. I think I will give the Flipbac a go. True its not a real flipout screen, but just may be the fix i am looking for. Most comments I have found our positive.

Ralph

S90/Flipbac combo works as stated

I did give the Flipbac a try on my Canon S90. I am please with it so far. I was careful and stuck the Flipbac on the lcd right the first time. It also protects the lcd as you said.

Thanks again for your post.

Regards
Ralph
