Photo critique Here is where you can display your images and seek the comment, advice and, maybe, constructive critique of your work. Only post your images here if you are happy for frank feedback. If in doubt, use the beginners board instead. Only post your comments here if you feel you can make a constructive and polite contribution in response to what is, for some, a leap of faith in exposing their work to your critical comment.

Re: A few pictures

Love em all Patrick, some great shots and sympathetic processing. Particularly like the B/W broken gate, but they are all images to be proud of IMHO

I especially like the picture of the sand dunes. Great textures and those shadows and sweep of the grasses bring out the 'feel' of the wind blowing and making the grass sway.

Re: A few pictures

5,4,3,2,1

This is the order of my favourites Patrick.

All the photographs appear to be perfectly composed, exposed and processed, so the reason for my favourites is just the subject matter.

We went to Northumberland for 3 days last week and visited Beamish where I took lots of pics, but on my return home, although many of them are quite acceptable, I don't think I like producing photographs of Re-enactments, past times etc. They just don't give me a buzz.

However, we also visited Holy Island and Seahouses where I really felt very happy, although my photographs of Lindisfarne Castle leave quite a bit to be desired.

So, to summarise, I think I prefer the countryside and seaside - then I also like some modern architecture.

Let us see a few more Patrick.

A great set Patrick, and difficult to pick a favourite!

I think the driftwood just does it for me

Re: A few pictures

Hi Patrick, all great images: I particularly like the kitchen scene - very warm and evocative (can almost smell something baking). The sand dune also floats my boat too.
