I have problem with my Sony Handycam camera DCR - SR85, I organize party for about 3 hours and when i try to download to my pc they vidieo did not play, even in the camera, i cannot find the file that contain the film.
Am still sure that the film is there as it is showing i have used up to 560mb but cannot find where the films are.
Can someone help me on how i can see all the film hidden in the camera? Am very worried as the family wants to see the video.
I've moved this post to this forum as it is marginally more appropriate here I feel. However this is not really a digital photography type of question, which is what DPNow is more about. It maybe more useful if you tried posting in a dedicated Camcorder type forum. In the meantime, have you read the manual??
Have you loaded all the software for your camcorder onto the pc that you are trying to view the movie on?
There is so many different formats of digital movie that its mind boggling, it might be that your pc does not recognise the file format from your camcorder.
To solve this you need to download a codec that supports your cams format.
Do a search on google for 'video codecs'
Alternatively what happens when you plug your cam into a tv or video recorder, can you get the video to play then? if not it sounds like a hard drive error on your camcorder.
