DPNow site server move next week!

To anyone that has experienced recent performance issues with the site, here is our response. We're moving DPNow to a shiny new server next week (between Monday 7th and Friday 11th January). It's a major job as DPNow is a large and complicated site, but we hope to make the move with the minimum of disruption to the service.

We're really hoping the changes will fix the problems that some of you (though not all) have experienced. Our new hosting company, we believe, has better global Internte connectivity and our new server as nearly ten times the computing power as our old one. To those interested, we're commissioning a dual-dual core (4 cores) AMD Opteron server.

I'll post updates on the progress of the moves during next week.

Should be good - but try not to worry too much.

I'm sure some of us, maybe even all of us, will still find enough to moan about and keep you on yer toes.
