Smile which software should I use for making home movies

I got lots of photos and videos during this Xmas and new year. now I want to make home movies and burn it onto DVD combined both photos and videos.

I know there are lots of dvd authoring tools such as xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Ulead CD & DVD PictureShow and Proshow gold.

Who tell me which one is the best, and not expensive

Thanks

Hi Raymondc, I have successfully used Memories on Tv.

http://www.codejam.com/index.htm

You can download a free trial. The latest one is Memories on Tv4. The transitions are very good with the Ken Burns effect zoom. There are many options and it helps to make a very attractive DVD to view on your TV.

I have also tried Slide Show to Go, which also is excellent. I have used this to burn to cd, but at the time I used it, you could not burn it to DVD, which I believe you can now do.

You can drag and drop your videos onto Memories on TV also, but I am not sure whether you can use videos on Slide show to Go.

I have also heard very good reports about Pictures to Exe. Many of the lecturers to our Photograhic Society use Pictures to Exe.

Of course, your choice of music can be added to all of them.

Good Luck.

Raymond - I have tried most of the software on the market and the most versatile one that I have found is Movie Edit Pro 11 Plus produced by a company in Germany called Magix. You can mix both photos and videos in making a DVD movie and it has all sort of effects which you can incorporate. The web address of their UK distributor is :- www.magix.com/uk/
It costs about 52 and there is an offer on at the moment

There is also a version 12 which is produced mainly for the USA and you can download a trial version of this at :-
http://www.download3000.com/download...reg-19145.html

I managed to buy a copy of version 12 from Germany by contacting their headquarters.

Re: which software should I use for making home movies

hi, raymond

I found some dvd authoring for you. Hope you'll like it.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx costs $39.95
MemoriesOnTV costs $89.99
Proshow Gold costs $69.95
Arcsoft ShowBiz cost $99.99

I can't say which one is the best. As you know, it depends what you need...

Well, you won't, because both you and 'rossjoe' are one and the same and trying to scam DPNow readers in to buying your product, so you are 'both' banned and links to your site have been removed.

Have a nice day!

Ian
