I was, frankly, not that enthusiastic after the first instalment, but I do feel it has improved a lot and the latest two have really made me want to go out there and get shooting (with my camera, of course).
Has anyone else been following this series? Last one is next week.
I've watched them all and enjoyed them. There's so little photography on TV that anything's welcome.
I think some people have been disappointed that it wasn't a chronological straight history but rather dealt with themes. And there seem a lot of complaints by people who don't 'get' contemporary photography.

I find myself in the weird situation where I completely reject a lot of abstract modern art and yet I really like abstract photography. Maybe it's down to having a common link with the photographer in knowing what the camera is capable of producing, I don't know.
Abstract and contemporary photography has the advantage over modern art in that it is dependent on some bases of reality, I suppose!
