New Features

I have noticed that there are some new features when looking through my gallery & those of other members! One being Print View icon!! Is this so that any person visiting the site can print off copies Or is it there just to enable people to see what the photo may look like printed, for those members that sell their photographs Personally, if I wanted to print one of my own photos, I would rather print it directly from my own hard drive for a number of reasons! I basically just want to know what/who its for!

Good question - we simply upgraded to the latest release of PhotoPost and discovered that a lot of changes had been made.

I may hack the code to remove the new features that are not relevant or desirable.

We upgraded our other site, Four Thirds User, first - here is a link to a post there that covers some of the more important changes:

http://fourthirds-user.com/forum/showthread.php?t=609

This in turn links to some video demos that you may find useful.

Ian

I'd love you forever if you could manage to do that.

I've just been doing some tests with the new features and I'm not keen on fact that there's no way of posting the larger image inline a thread. I can only post a thumbnail link or a medium size of the image (the one with the lower resolution).

I do wish software geeks wouldn't do upgrades that fix things that ain't broke.

I suggest people use the user test board for trying out the new gallery features. The user test board can be found HERE Feel free to start as many new threads as you wish when you want to test anything.

Re: New Features

You can post the bigger version of the image via MyPics in the Advanced edit mode. Select 'Original Image'.

That's what I used above

Hey, steady on POL - I'm a software geek! We only deliver what the customer wants or needs - although they might not necessarily know they want it or need it until they get it!

Thought you like a video of one of my help-desk guys:

Hilarious - I loved it. It's good to see who is at the other end of the phone.
