There used to be cheese and beer...

But now there's just crackers, crumbs, and some empty bottles...

This is on a canal narrow boat down at Apsley Lock, the Grand Union Canal, Hemel hempstead, taken yesterday afternoon. The smooth background was a bit of welcome a surprise

Ian

Not being a smoker, I hadn't noticed the roll-your-own paraphernalia there

Nice still life shot but I would be tempted to take out whatever that grey thing is jutting into the shot from the left

I'm confused, as usual, where is the roll-your-own kit in this image. I see crackers, knife, cheese wrapper, bottles and what looks like a cheese wire type cutter. Now I do smoke and roll-my-own, but I don't recognise anything to do with smoking in this image. Re the smoking is BAD comment. Drink has to be even worse and has claimed just as many lives. Nice still-life picture. Makes a change from those SET-UP type still life's we often see. Well spotted and captured Ian.

Sir, I do beleive I'm correct in saying that thar' is a packet of Cutters Choice Hand Rolling Tobacco with tobacco hanging out the top and the corner of a packet Rizla Green rolling papers hiding behind an empty bottle of Kronenbourg Koenigsbier beer, from France I'd say.

Not too sure about the crackers or cheese, must have tasted good as its all gone!!

Still a great fresh looking picture, makes me want cheese, crackers and beer!

Superb Image Ian!

I absolutely love it, and the blurred background finishes it off superbly.

Are you, or was you a smoker? You recognized the tobacco. I've never tried Cutters Choice I'm a Drum man myself. Also tea total as you may have guessed.

I am with you Ron!

Had to get it off my chest here: http://dpnow.com/forum2/showthread.php?t=3258 rather than hijack Ians thread! lol

Red face Re: There used to be cheese and beer...

I was once a smoker, no long, I've converted. GV & Rizla - pure classic, my mum used to be a Drum Lady, but shes quit now too.

And just to clear thing up, sorry for hi-jacking Ians thread! And also my reply to Ron's post was in pure jest, as was my initial responce to the presence of smoking material in the photo. I guess I just have bad humour.

Appologies if I've offended or upset.

G.
