Photo critique Here is where you can display your images and seek the comment, advice and, maybe, constructive critique of your work. Only post your images here if you are happy for frank feedback. If in doubt, use the beginners board instead. Only post your comments here if you feel you can make a constructive and polite contribution in response to what is, for some, a leap of faith in exposing their work to your critical comment.

Get yer fresh carrots here!

Another scene from the market in north eastern Thailand.

They are fascinating - these markets that sell indigenous products. I find the washed out bit top left a bit distracting in this shot.

Hi Ian,

Nice capture there, however, it doesnt feel 'finished', in that the blown highlight on the top left could be relatively easily remedied in my opinion.

I also feel the crop is a little harsh, cutting off the person on the left, and the corner of the mat on the right.

Cheers,
Ben

Fair comment, Ben. This was a bit tricky as the left hand side is outside in the sunshine and the right hand side is under cover inside the covered market itself. It's also the full, uncropped frame. These aren't excuses - just an explanation.

I also used a JPEG original to work on as I still don't have RAW development up and running for the E-410.

I will certainly revisit this using the RAW file when I can.
