I had a chance to have close up look at Sigma's new SD14 DSLR, which sports a Foveon X3 sensor. The impression I got when I saw the first leaked pictures, which I think came from a Chinese web site, was that the SD14 would be a smaller than average DSLR. In the 'flesh' it has to be said that it's not particularly small at all, though it is smaller than the old SD9/10 body design.
One reason for this is the loss of the large AA battery compartment under the older camera, though if you attach the optional battery grip, if anything the SD14 is taller than the old camera. Nevertheless, it felt good to hold and handle in the short time I had to play with it and the standard of finish and controls is a huge step forward from the SD9/10.
In-camera JPEG processing is now, thankfully, featured in the SD14
