Re: It Aint the Rain that Sweeps the Sidewalk Clean
Hi Kurt,
I like it, An interesting and abstract Found image, a small crop at the top to remove the part pots would be an improvement, with a slight adjustment of levels and curves. well seen and photographed.
Thanks Tinka, Is this better? - Or do you think I should remove the reflections of the pots?
Hi Kurt,
That is better, I would not remove the pot reflections, "purely my opinion" it is the reflections only that make this image interesting, like photographing an image that is reflected in a mirror.
Re: It Aint the Rain that Sweeps the Sidewalk Clean
Thanks for your comments and your help. I don't think I will request to change my shot in the Salon Ian, there are so many good shots in there that I don't think this would stand a chance. The reason I like it is not only the reflections but the dog-ends and other rubbish laying around this little art-work in a puddle, but these are much more obvious in the larger image - and probably then they only appeal to me!

Quite honestly Kurt, I wouldn't mind you swapping! I think this photo is refreshingly different. As an artist, it appeals to that 'sense' of portraying something new & unique!

It was the dog-ends and detritus that lifted it from good to great for me. I love the colours and textures but it's the litter that gives it an extra dimension.
