I went on Sunday Morning, arrived about 10.30, apparently people had been queuing since 8.00 and it didn’t open until 10.00.
It was much to crowded to enjoy properly and so I gave up just after 2.00.
Not before getting a bargain. I spotted a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 DG EX, a lens I have been wanting now for some months. The ex demo was £529 a very good saving even compared with the best discount price I have seen. Its in mint condition no sign of handling whatsoever and is complete with all its bits and guarantee.
Haven’t tried in anger yet but tested it on a tripod in my office, from f2.8 through to f11 at 70mm then again from f2.8 at 200mm. It is extremely sharp wide open at f2.8 at both ends, so good in fact there is little difference to be seen stopping down. The only flaw I could see is at f2.8 the exposure was about a half stop under compared with the other settings. Very pleased thus far and can’t wait to use it properly.

Yes I was there from 10.30am till about 3pm, on the sunday, maybe if there was a bit more organisation on the forum then we could have all met up for a cup of tea
I do agree that it was a bit busy, I would have prefered to go midweek. But I did enjoy it very much, I could have gone everyday and not got bored.
Ill look forward to seeing you all next year!
cheers
Ash
I went on Wednesday after Stephen informed me that Sunday would be very busy, Wednesday was very quiet really no problem getting around or to the stands I met someone who lives a few doors away in the same street as me who I'm looking to go out shooting with soon.
I even got to park for free which is always a welcome bonus. I found it quite funny the amount of people who were walking around like press photographers with their cameras on show hung over their shoulders, did not see one taking a photo, seems they had them for the jewellery factor.
