House

Nearly forgot to mention Ian, we watched both series from Episode 1 and love it. I believe series 3 starts soon, can't wait.

Re: House

I only saw occasional episodes on terrestrial (C4?) this year, but the Hallmark Channel has been showing back episodes every day for the last few weeks.

I thought Hugh Laurie was rubbish in Stuart Little and I bemoaned his fake American accent, but I have to concede that he and the House series are outstanding. I see he has won a Golden Globe for his performance too.

I wonder what American viewers would think of his performances in programs like Jeeves and Wooster, Filthy rich and Catflap, A Bit of Fry and Laurie and, of course, Black Adder! He has to be one of the most versatile actors around.

Re: House

Agreed...... I was amazed at his American accent from the start. The characters persona is just fantastic and the relationships and tensions between Cuddy and the others is wonderful at times. Though the programs are not always easy to understand from a medical pov, but then its the same in ER another gem, the drama and storylines are very different, keeping your attention throughout. One of my favourites was when he 'rebooted' the patients brain and system.

Re: House

Well, fyi - one American couple at least absolutely loved Jeeves and Wooster. They ran a series of this on Public Broadcasting and they were very popular. I think it will be fun this year on 'House' as he is supposed to have a personality change.
