    Lifeboat at the ready

    With some help from users over on http://www.fourthirds-user.com I learnt the boat shown was possibly an ex lifeboat from a freighter. The boat is currently cruising the grand union canal.

    Also in the pic is Anne (wife) leading me to lunch.

    I agree. It looks like an early model of a free fall lifeboat.

    Looks quite out of place on the river. ( Purely the shape )

    Good shot though. Hope lunch was good.
