  • iPhone 4s using Olloclip fisheye conversion lens

    I have been playing with the Olloclip iPhone clip on 3-in-1 lens. Here's a fisheye shot from yesterday:



    As you can see it is soft at the edges. But for the purposes of social media photography I think the impact will be enough to compensate for the lack of quality.

    The lens (it's actually two lenses, - it's reversisble) offers a fisheye, extra wide angle (still quite a bit of distortion) and a macro - you just remove the wide angle front part and it becomes a macro.

    It's not particularly new but they have a new iPhone 5 version which includes a case.

    Was also testing the Lumix G6 at the same time.

    Interesting that it looks like there's lens distortion superimposed on the fisheye distortion causing an "elliptical" look.

      That's an interesting observation, Graham - I will do a comparison with a real fisheye lens and a fisheye conversion lens for a bigger camera.
