    Ian.

The only thing I find irritating about the forum, is if I take a little time, as in maybe I have to answer the phone. The forum has me logged out when I do finally finish, and try to post my message. It usually goes on and allows it, but there should be some way to extend your log in time. But I can't find any.

Does anyone else have this problem? In my own case I can be away from the PC all day, yet I stay logged in. Indeed I am permanently logged in when I switch on and go to the site, as I have the remember me box checked.

Hi Steve, glad to be of service.

It's currently set to 15 minutes time out and is a global setting, but I have wondered if 15 minutes is a bit on the brief side - would 30 minutes be better?

An obvious way to avoid this issue is to use the 'remember me' option but I know some people, especially where there is a risk of someone else using your computer, prefer not to do this.

Of course, if you use 'remember me' all you are doing is preventing the automatic log-out. By logging out yourself, you reset the cookies and it's secure.

Remember me would not fare to well in my case. I am a fanatic cookie cleaner, in fact every time I close the browser. 30 minutes would work out better, at least for me.

No problem, I have changed the time out period to 30 minutes.

I believe that the forum clears cookies when you explicitly log-out, even with 'remember me' - why not try it?

Thanks Ian, I think I will like that much better. The remember me doesn't do anything for me, just like I had never checked it?.
