Picture of the Day - are you missing out?

I just wanted to highlight the fact that our Picture of the Day feature that shows images selected from five different photographers each week are only chosen from the DPNow photo gallery. I have seen a number of images posted in the forum this week that would have been selected for POTD but they aren't in the gallery.

So if you feel like you have a chance of being selected for POTD you do need to post them in the gallery if you want a chance of earning a POTD.

If you are just starting out with the gallery and might be having problems, just let me know and I'll do what I can to help you

Ian

Never payed much attention to POTD rules. So shortly does it go like this?

1. simply upload a pic into gallery
2. if you are lucky then you'll get a PM from Ian to write some comments

That's exactly right.

Just upload your pictures to your gallery then ANY Member can post comments beneath the picci and ANY member can also nominate a picture for POTD.

Simply write 'nominated for POTD' within the comments box under the picture than Ian will be able to spot which pictures have been nominated by members.

If one of your pics is chosen (by Ian) to appear on the front page as POTD, he will contact you to ask for a brief explanation about the picci - just a brief paragraph or two in your own words will suffice.

Hope that helps.

Pol
