Respite from the rain (pix)

I was in the field/s almost all of yesterday and captured the usual butterflies, although I must add very few in numbers were seen. Those we did see (Anne joined in the hunt later in the day) were low in the grass or vegetation, thus presenting to make the day more difficult.

Our usual meadow was almost bereft of wings but we were treated to seeing high up on a branch/twig a Broad Bodied Chaser.

Such dedication. I'm impressed by the patience you have, but it shows how worthwhile all that effort is when you are rewarded the sight of such creatures and are able to capture images of them.

Well done.

They're all great but I especially like the picci of the Broad Bodied Chaser. It's so beautifully framed with an excellent bokeh and those lovely wings are so nicely displayed.

I also admire your ability to spot and identify so many butterflies and insects.
