Photo critique Here is where you can display your images and seek the comment, advice and, maybe, constructive critique of your work. Only post your images here if you are happy for frank feedback. If in doubt, use the beginners board instead. Only post your comments here if you feel you can make a constructive and polite contribution in response to what is, for some, a leap of faith in exposing their work to your critical comment.

Those models - back to mono

It was tough for these ladies out in the sun so here was so respite in the shade:

Again, I think mono works better - what do you think?

In response to some feedback the vertical bar that was lighter than the rest seemed to chop the image in half so I have darkened it. There was a stray defocused hair that I have removed using PS CS6 Content Aware Fill. I have also added contrast to give the image more punch.

I was going to mention that Ian but did not want to appear picky.

It's a very nice what we used to call a F4 portrait shot.

For me and this is purely from a personnel point of view I would have used some negative clarity just on the skin tones of the main subject as the B&W conversion and extra contrast has accentuated the skin detail perhaps a tad to much.

Completely agree - indeed I did apply negative sharpening to part of her face but I was perhaps not aggressive enough.
