Hello again, back with new toy

Life got in the way a tad, so I haven't actually been active on here, or even doing much photography for over 12 months. A huge thank you to Ian for not booting me off for being slack It's great to see so many "old" faces here, still giving friendly and valuable advice.

The new toy is a Canon EOS 600D to replace my old Pentax *stD so I'm trying to come to grips with a whole new set of menus as well as whatever new technology the super-geeks have managed to give us. Now all I need is an hour or two more in the day so I can play....

Welcome back Jo! It only seems like yesterday that the istD was brand spanking new

Canon menus are good once you get used to them!

I still have mine, we both kept them. They still get an airing from time to time too. I've had some great shots from the old *istD and a cheapo Tamron 28-300.

Small, lightweight with a large and bright viewfinder that's near enough good enough to use like one would use an LCD. I used to use it that way quite a lot for quick street grabs. Not much is sold, passed on or thrown away here.

And welcome back indeed, Jo.

Pol
