Once again thank you to all who have contributed to making this competition.
As usual the task has not been easy but I believe all the images qualified as “Night Photography.”
There was a similarity with some of the submissions, however my choice of winners has been decided upon by composition, technical ability and finally how much the image took my eye.
They are all quite different and here are the results.
In THIRD place we have Svetlana’s (Gentle.Ivy) well composed and exposed image of Bristol at Night. The quality of this image is amazing.
In SECOND place I have chosen an image that could only have been achieved at night and with specialist equipment and that is Dave’s (Devilgas). This is a spectacular image and I could image it (without the text
) on the front cover of a magazine.
Finally,
In FIRST place is veggiesosage’s Moonlight over the Lake. This is one image that works for me even though the rule of thirds has been flouted. It is a beautiful soothing and calming image. I would say that to get the best view of this image, go to Veggiesosage’s gallery and click on it to get the larger image.

. Would like to say though that this is my favourite pic of my own that I've ever taken so I'm a little bit proud it's won.
