Who makes the V1 sensor? I suppose it could be Kodak, but would be a little surprised, as I would be if it was Samsung. And Panasonic? LOL!

Aptina make the J1/V1 sensor for Nikon. This was discovered by Chipworks who tear cameras down to see what is inside. The direct link is:
I often wondered if all the Big players didn't have "tear-down" departments where the competators' products were examined. From there it would go to the patent search dept. and then to the engineering/research people. Then, maybe they use someone outside like chipworks.
My current object of interest is the Fuji X-10. Are you going to get one to review?
