  • Pre-transformation

    Hi there.

Any suggestions on possible improvements welcome. There's obviously been some heavy processing but the moon is a real photo pasted in though the clouds are fake.

It will be an entry in an upcoming competition called Alter ego in mid November. I hope to do well with this.

it looks to 'clean' to me. Possibly some grain? might add atmosphere?

      Re: Pre-transformation

It needs some cloud passing in front of the moon as well

Not sure what the problem is but the moon still doesn't look right. With all that cloud around it seems to bright to be natural.
Maybe someone else will suggest something specific

            Re: Pre-transformation

I had another play and have redone the sky. This time the clouds are real, I shot them out of my window earlier and manipulated them to match the image. I found it difficult to cover the moon with cloud without it looking as though the moon is on top, but I think I got it now. The moon and sky look more realistic to me, what do you think?

              Re: Pre-transformation

The moon in the first one is the best but maybe it needs to be cold rather then warm yellow?

              Great idea, by the way!

I agree with Ian, the person looks much better (imo) in the later ones.

                    Re: Pre-transformation

I have two versions below, somehow I'm not sure about the "cool" sky. I have now looked at this image so much, I can't tell any more. I think I should leave it a week before I look at it again. In the mean time I'm still interested in your opinions.

                    Cheers
