Venice

Dear All,

Just returned from a long weekend in Venice. My first proper photography session for 6 months. (Been focussing on work).

Always wanted to go and the extra bank holiday gave the perfect opportunity. Spent hours wandering the canals with my family.

It will probably take me a while to process all the photographs I took with my canon so in the meantime here are a few I took on the iphone and edited on the ipad whilst I was there. I have added on taken with the canon. Again this was edited on the Ipad.

If anyone plans to visit and wants tips or locations please just let me know. I know one other member of the DPNOW family was there this weekend as well.

This one was a set of 4 photographs merged photostitched on the iphone. Not perfect but not bad.

This one was taken with the 5D mark 2 and then edited on the ipad.

Nice series, although the first two the water is a little too green.

Hehe! That other member (along with his family) was me! If only I had known that Josh was there...

And we were there on exactly the same days, too, both arriving last Thursday and returning today. Talk about coincidence!

I must admit I hadn't thought about staying for the night time - which in hindsight would have been great (we were staying outside of Venice itself in the delightful town of Merano).

Thx for the comment. I used a particular filter on the iPhone that mimics different types of films. After lots of experiments I settled on this one. I like the "aged" effect.

I agree it does change the colours though.
