Let's Cheer Stephen Up!

Just for fun and to give Stephen a laugh whilst he is not well, post your WORST pictures you have taken on here for him! I know he is a good photographer and his advice and critique is acclaimed by all so post something that would have him shaking his head in wonderment (or not!) with your worst!

Or post something you have taken that will make him smile!

Here is one of mine....

Got the propellers absolutely still Sorry!

Hah! Not forgetting fat grooms!

My problem is that I have far too many photos to choose from for this challenge!

Wicked!

I think I must have been the skinniest bride of 1973. Those were the days when I disappeared I turned sideways.

Re: Let's Cheer Stephen Up!

i got married in 1973, just back from the war. i was so skinny
("hey kodak how skinny were you?")
if i stood sideways and stuck out my tongue i would look like a zipper
and
in swimming trunks, i looked like a flag at half mast.

Yeah 1973 was a good year for us stick insects.

I used to think my husband was 'porky' in those days because he wore trousers with a 32" waist.

I'm attaching a picture of us about to cut the cake at the reception. We're both looking tense because I was about to throw up so we'd decided to 'cut and run'. I stuck the knife in the cake then we got out of there fast. I threw up within seconds. I suppose that must've made me even skinnier.

Sorry it's a tiny picci but I'd done it for another board where there are strict limitations on file sizes.

Re: Let's Cheer Stephen Up!

looking back at getting married in 1973, i am grateful that i chose a black tux rather than one of those silly powder blue ones that were popular then.

nice wedding photo by the way.

Thanks. I never liked that particular picci. It always reminds me of honking into a bowl with one of the catering staff helping me by holding the long veil so it wouldn't fall into the puke.

BTW - the scans were done for 'the other place, the once green, now blue place'. I don't know if you can still see in there, even just to lurk, but Kingy and one or two others have a thread running (in chat) related to weddings (a spin off about the royal wedding). Kingy and Nia have copies of ther own wedding pics up too atm. Quite a few talking about their own weddings, disasters, cakes, clothing etc. aj, Eric, NT et al.

Here's the other one I have on the 'puter - the one where we look tidier and are on the way into the reception. Note how the togfa cut off the edge of my veil. He did that in ALL the pics. I liked this one best because I thought 'Gert' (David) looked more like Omar Sharif, which is why I married him in the first place.

He was from a dedicated wedding photography company, the one with the best reputation and display window for miles around. But he was also the most expensive and the one my mother (self-appointed boss-woman of the universe) insisted we MUST have.

Colour photos cost a lot more than b/w and he only took 12 coloured shots and put those ones into a free presentation album, for us. There are also about 66 b/w photos, all 10x8 and in individual mounts. I forget what they cost but it was more than David and I could afford so my parents paid for them ... especially as they'd insisted we had 10x8 mounted shots from ALL the proofs supplied.

It couldn't have been easy for him as it was late afternoon an a very cold but bright and very contrasty day.

Re: Let's Cheer Stephen Up!

Here is my epic fail and it was only taken yesterday If I had got it right it may well of been one of the keepers. The ones I did like are on my flickr site.
