Buckinghamshire Railway Centre

I had not planned on driving through thick mist to Quainton. I had checked the weather - all OK. I also checked the centre's opening time.

Imagine my thoughts when I arrived. I couldn't see the sheds, lines, engines and was met with a large CLOSED sign because they were dressing the site for the coming season.

However, a visit to the office was met with a friendly guy who said I could go into the hall and take some pics there.

I respected his wishes but found myself in the close vicinity of the centre and didn't want to pass up an opportunity of firing up my new best friend - the E-5 (still un-named). The mist lifted sufficiently to take a few shots.
I'll shall have to return another day because the sheds contain some real gems.

Thoroughly. Good series of images and at least by being closed you were able to capture the centre without a lot of people around.

You managed to turn a bad start into a good finish.
Those darned webs get everywhere. I particularly like the Quainton in the mist, half expected a train to appear out of the mist from under the bridge
