Smile Guitar or Piano ...

One of my favourite pieces. I could never manage to play it on Classical guitar and I'd never manage it on piano either so I'll just leave it to the experts.

Piano performance for a change.

Boris Berezovsky - Asturias (Leyenda), No. 5 from 'Suite Espagnole', Op. 47

Re: Guitar or Piano ...

I must admit I prefer to hear it on guitar too. I've never seen or heard it performed on piano until now but I think Berezovsky's interpretation, style and performance here is fantastic. I also like the way it was filmed - I love the way his body holds still and his hands just fly off the grab those big ' strums' - if you see what I mean.

Here's a link to the blurb from his management agency.

Re: Guitar or Piano ...

I prefer the guitar as well and I wouldn't worry to much about your not being able to play it Pol.
I can't even hum it

Re: Guitar or Piano ...

Hi Pol.
I finally got a moment to listen and I must say that it is an interesting rendition bravely done and nicely recorded, as you mentioned.
I'm with the six string bunch

Talking Re: Guitar or Piano ...

Interesting but true ... 'Leyenda' was originally written for piano and subsequently transcribed for guitar.

I didn't know that until recently.
