Photo critique Here is where you can display your images and seek the comment, advice and, maybe, constructive critique of your work. Only post your images here if you are happy for frank feedback. If in doubt, use the beginners board instead. Only post your comments here if you feel you can make a constructive and polite contribution in response to what is, for some, a leap of faith in exposing their work to your critical comment.

Re: Night time in Venice.

Hi Ipri

I really like the colour to the first shot.

I think that had you cropped out the arch on the right, and some of the bottom off.

The bridge becomes centralised and the whole image has more vibrancy.

I had a play and tried it.

The second image is also good quality, but screams for some one standing on the bridge for added interest. Plus I would have cropped a little from the bottom again.

Just my opinions. But really liked both images. There is no noise in either image.
What time were you out, to have taken these without people in them ?

Re: Night time in Venice.

Thanks for your comments. I got dark at about 8:30pm. Both shots were taken at the same spot. I took one, then rotated camera for the second. The bridge in the second one doesn't actually go anywhere!...seems to be access to the back of the Theatre.

Most of the activity was taking place at the front of the building. Next time we go there, I'll get the wife to stand on the bridge!
