Did anyone see the Aurora last night?

I gather the UK was treated to a rare display of the Northern Lights last night as far south as Wales. Not south enough for me, sadly.

Re: Did anyone see the Aurora last night?

I'm even further down south and the light from London, just about knocks out everything. However there was a difference in the sky that you could kid yourself was the effects of the aurora.

Something else in the sky this week was as close to a "Crescent Moon" as I have ever seen as Venus and a quarter Moon aligned themselves quite nicely. Did anyone see that

No sign of them here in Ontario on the 27th and it was cloudy and snowing last night.
Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it. Terry Pratchett.
