Coming In To Land

A shot I took this evening of this honey bee coming in to land while photographing flowers with my 70-300mm, sometimes you just get lucky.

E-30 & 70-300mm 1/800 s f/8 ISO 200 Focal Length 300 mm

Cool shot, sharp focus on the bumbo (love that) and fab depth of field - and have pushed that FB "like" button too...

I'm not to keen on them either, especially when they get into the house, which is most days atm.

David usually has one of his insect-catcher gadgets nearby so he catches them for me and puts them back outside.

The best catcher we have is this one, from Amazon iirc. The best catcher we have is this one, from Amazon iirc.
Every home should have one in every room - maybe even two !

Wait for the insect to land, or when it's hovering very close to a wall or window, then gently place the end-piece over the insect, close the brush-trap thingy and put the insect outside. Even I can use it, though I leave David to deal with the wasps and the bees!
