Northern Ribblesdale
A couple from near our new home. How do these sit with you?

Re: Northern Ribblesdale
I have looked at these a few times now.
The second would be my pick of the two. I like the more obvious framing, and very sharp silhouetted trees.
The first is very good. It is very moody and the crepuscular rays come through nicely.
But for me personally, there is just a little too much black at the top and bottom.

Re: Northern Ribblesdale
Thanks for looking and commenting, Garry. I guess you can crop according to how the image is displayed. My intent in this case was to try to give three bands of equal height.

Re: Northern Ribblesdale
Hi StephenL
I have to admit, that while I was commenting. I was also thinking of the rule of thirds, and I can see that you applied that thinking.

Re: Northern Ribblesdale
I with Garry on this one, the second image is both well observed and processed IMHO.

Re: Northern Ribblesdale
Thank you, Stuart. Because of the location I could only vary my viewpoint laterally and not forward or backward, with a fixed length lens.

Re: Northern Ribblesdale
I just like looking at number two.
It has taken me a couple of days to make comment after several viewings.
Number one ain't half bad.

Re: Northern Ribblesdale
I really like the distinct layers you've captured in the first image and the second image is especially well done. Bravo!

Re: Northern Ribblesdale
Thanks Barrie, I will attempt to correct this oversight when I return from HK and Oz!
