I think I prefer the colour shots Peter, which I must say are all good portraits. I particularly like the last shot here which I think is a belter. Off camera flash makes all the difference.

Hi Stephen

Thanks for that. You are so right off camera flash really does make a difference. I really have been trying to improve my portrait photos over the last year but it really came to a stop as the weather changed and winter rolled in. I have put together a small strobist kit of 3 flash heads, 1 soft box and 2 brollies. Plus all the stands to go with it. This will give me the chance to work indoors when the weather is bad but also will be able to take it outdoors.

These photos were taken with just 1 flash and the soft box. Small steps
