EOS-M first shots

Ian - first images taken with the new EOS-M. OK, I did take some on Sunday night as there was a tiny bit of charge in the battery but not keepers.

These were taken on Monday on a short walk along the Mill stream and through the churchyard at Towcester, either with the 22mm pancake lens or my old 18-55 lens plus mount adaptor.

I have a thing about reflections at the moment

And the more abstract, the better:

And a couple of snowdrops to finish off:

Am I the only one who's gone the Canon route?

Carol

Which version of the 18-55 do you have Caz?

I'm sure that you're not the only one, but I get the impression that it's not making a huge impact in the mirrorless market. However, you can rely upon Canon for good IQ and it is a camera that will accept your existing lenses, with an adapter. I suspect you are going to enjoy using it very much.

Just the standard full-size kit lens that came with the 550D, the mark II f3.5-5.6 with IS.

Re: EOS-M first shots

nice trial shots, Carol. Reflections are always subjects that attract my soul too. Especially in case of those photogenic ponds (?).

I did not buy EOS-M but had an opportunity to use the mirrorless model last month. I borrowed double zoom lens kit from Canon on the condition that I report what I felt about the model.

Quality wise there should be no problems, of course. The same sensor, the same processing engine as the dSLRs etc. I find however the user interface (well, the menu method ) is sometimes embarassing even for Canon dSLR users like me. I regret I do not have shots right now that I took on that occasion. (I'm in Tokyo atm on the way back to Fukushima.)

anyways thanks for the shots from EOS-M. I enjoyed them.
