Re: Samsung mates Android with its NX system

The question is - why has Samsung gone for a form factor with built in EVF? Wouldn't a more compact model have been more sensible?

I enjoyed the show - thanks for the live link.

I don't think the camera floats my boat.

Glad you enjoyed it, Barr1e Some more work to be done on the concept I think - especially the combination of EVF and the necessity to use the touch screen to make settings adjustments.

With most of the settings controlled by the touch screen I simply cannot see how an EVF would work. Ironic when Samsung have previously made more conventional mirrorless cameras which were crippled by the lack of an EVF option. Huge, innovative company with massive resources but I just don't see them as a serious camera manufacturer.

Well, let's see what the camera is like when we get a proper chance to evaluate it. It seems like our initial misgivings are so obvious that we may have yet to understand the camera properly.

Samsung's first CSCs had integrated viewfinders, let's not forget.

There was quite a party after the product introductions and presentations:

This is Will.i.am on-stage, preceded by the wonderful Emily Sande (famous for being one of the key singers at the Olympics last year).

That's true, it's certainly an interesting development

Being "Mobile Media" biased is the Image Quality also tuned to suit On-Line formats ?
It would be interesting if there was built-in "apps" that processed the RAW image to optimise for the specific requirments of the selected Social Media site.
