Salon 221- Artists at work.

Can be anything artistic ie painting, music, dance etc.

Here's some inspiration, body art.

Body art. by Andrew Peter Martin, on Flickr

1. All photographs are to be uploaded to the photo gallery at http://dpnow.com/galleries/.
I've got no objection to images being shown from any source ie FlickR, your website etc

They can be put in members own gallery if they wish. The resulting link generated for the photo will then be pasted into the next available space in the salon thread. Please keep photos to a maximum of 1000 pixels wide so people can see the whole image without scrolling.

2. As agreed previously, TWO entries maximum per user ID only please, which must be the personal work of the entrant.

3. Entries should be ‘in line’ within the thread (not as a link to an image held somewhere else).

4. Comments on entries are welcome within the salon thread itself.

5. After the close, the curator will indicate a winner and a couple of runners up.

6. The curator’s decision is final.

7. The winner will be invited to choose the next theme and curate the next salon.

8. If the winner is unable to curate the next salon the current curator may offer that ‘honour’ to any willing volunteer, possibly the entrant in second or third place.

9. These rules are to be copied and pasted with the new theme by the curator at the top of the new salon thread with a finish date and time.

10. As with all photos posted on DPNow, copyright remains with the photographer and DPNow will not use them without permission.

Finish date - Tuesday 28th of March at 23:59.

Have fun

Okay, this is a little self serving. It's a selfie of me doing a pencil drawing of me snowboard racing.

A gentle bump. Just a couple of days to go.

Not sure if this image qualifies. It's two images combined.

Re: Salon 221- Artists at work.

My friend, Bert, who has taught traditional country crafts for many years. Unfortunately you can't see his hand-painted caravan in this shot! Taken at the village fete some years ago, so definitely one from the archives.

Re: Salon 221- Artists at work.

In contrast to my first entry from the archives, this one was taken on Friday 24th March. I looked at the music shots in my gallery (there are a few, must clear the early ones out... I've come on a bit since then).

Stevie tours as One Bloke, One Mandolin and he was making his annual visit to the Albion Brewery Bar (Phipps NBC) in Northampton. In fact, the brewery is visible the other side of the glass behind him.

First trip out for my new (to me... ) 24-70 lens: I've got a fair few music gigs and a couple of weddings coming up this year so thought it was time to bite the bullet. The lighting was truly awful - one gobo on the ceiling above, and one spot about 20 feet away which was cycling through the colours. This one was originally dark blue.
