Abstract Art

I was dragged round a modern art exhibition yesterday so I thought - if painters can get away with it it why can't photographers? Now if only I could come up with a jargon ridden polysyllabic paragraph of BS to describe the underlying concept, motive and hidden meaning of the picture I would be well away.

Re: Abstract Art

"A powerful yet gentle combination of evocative shapes that symbolize the eggs from which we originate and soothing colours reminiscent of the dream-like state that we experience within the womb. The whole ambience is one of soothing warmth that underpins our latent craving for protection and security, which probably dates from prehistoric times, thus also providing a tenuous link between our present consciousness and our dimly recollected distant past, now preserved by basic instinct alone. By allowing these repressed emotions of our subconscious psyche to be explored through the mediums of shape and colour, and afforded the status of semi-permanence through the photographic process, we gain a tantalizing glimpse of the key to the future development of our quasi-emotional artistic understanding, thus taking it to a new level."

That should add 300,000.00 to the value and win you the Turner Prize.
