Arrow The new Nikon D810 is the revised D800

Here is a summary or excerpt from an article that has just been published on DPNow:

Nikon has announced the successor to its highly successful Nikon D800 and it's called the D810. Outwardly very similar to its predecessor the D810 is an evolutionary rather than revolutionary release, the D810's main highlights include a wider ISO range selectable from 64 to 51200, implementation of the Expeed 4 image processir first seen in the Nikon D4S, faster shooting rates up to 7 frames per second, and the option of smaller RAW files using 12-bit data instead of 14-bits. By default the D810 is like the D800E in not having an optical low pass filter.

Re: The new Nikon D810 is the revised D800

If Horacio is looking in (D800 owner) - I am wondering if this is a tempting upgrade. Basically Nikon has made the D810E faster and enable users to deal with smaller RAW files if they prefer.
